When you look at a tank's ini entry there is this command: DamageParticleSystems=
They usually have this for an answer:
SparkSys, SmallGreySSys
All I want to know is what are these systems and how to edit/make them.

When you unit is Damage
SparkSys= small sparks fly out of your unit
SmallGreySSys=your unit starts to smoke.

Some thing just dose not sound right about what I just said! :evil:

I think I'll make my tanks catch on fire.... all you do is find an animation in the mix files or one's already in existance and use that.

Particle Systems, are just logic systems that make an attached image or computer generated image move about, using pre-programmed logic. Thesse include smoke, and sparks.

OneWingedAngel: You can clone an entire smoke particle system and replace the image.

smoke uses .shp images and with added tweak in rules.ini particle section, it creates animation. particle systems are hog to computer resources and would slow your game but it provides a bit realistic animation to refineries and in my mod, Rock 'n Roll Steam Tank!!

Particle systems only slow down the pc because the engine has to apply transparency.

If you have a stealth generator of some sort, the game will slowdown as well, as a result of the transparency.

The transparency lines in particles can be removed, and you can have lots of particle systems, but they won't look as good.
