Hmm, SeaMan. I was just wondering if we could talk more of this. I say we should start a project for this. and anyone else with alittle knowledge to join this as well. The more the better. I wanna be able to figure out what everything does in this exe but I need people to help because one person alone trying to figure this stuff out sux. So im gonna start a new thread. Who ever wants to join just reply there. And then will start discussions there as well.

At least this discussion sounds like it has promise.
You may want to locate a spot that is hide from the public until you get something substantial. Just to keep EA off you back and allow a freer discussion of this topic to speed up this project.

Hmm that is true but I dont see why ea would care. Its more of the guys that worked on the westwood team. So I think Ill still talk to people out of publics eye just to get things rolling. Plus it would be easier messaging people on aim, yim, or msn.

The license agreement says that disassembling should not be attempted.

But we are not going to make own game or money off it.
We just want to improve the existing game by enabling/adding code that is not possible to do through INI editing.

As I understand it, you're not allowed to distribute the .EXE, but I've got a feeling that this doesn't cover the .TLB, or instructions on how to edit the .EXE. Check the legal stuff first mind you.

For Ion Cannon use psycho's tutorial.
AFAIK tbl files are not ikely to be editable

wrong, the TLB file is sorta part of the source code (as a library). But EA doesnt care at all, otherwise PPM would already be closed and sued :P
