Yet another program you can useto make vxls! It's called "Wings 3d" and it's totally free! You can create your models in the program, but it doesn't support animations just yet, and I personally find it difficult to use.

Man, if I could get hosting, I should just put up a links page... Yeah, like that would ever happen.

So, how about it? Should I or should I not put up a downlaods page? Somewhere. Anywhere that's pop-up free. I mean, think about it. Half the time, you're looking for a tutorial, file, ir utility, then you go to where you would normally go, and it's either not there or the link is dead. I could make like a one-stop modding programs site for C&C! :tard:

But seriously, I'd like to put a tutorial up on how to succesfully convert Gmax models to vxl using this technique. And BTW, that anim8or program has some promising features... like screen rendering. *wink wink* Like SHP production...

I think this should be stickied... WHO'S WITH ME?!?!... Oh, well, I tried...
Anyways, I need your inut on this: do these methods work for you or do they not? Depending on the responses I get, I may try to submit a tutorial to Deezire to put on the page, if he is willing to do so.

BTW: The only problem I've had with this method is that the md3 export kinda messes up the normals, easily fixed up with Milkshape or a similar program.

Correcto Stampedo. Although. I havent tried this method out. I think I will just to see if it does more then what it does with my method which is finally stickied. WOOHOO.
It does slightly better, due to the fact that you don't have to go through and manually recolor every single voxel, which helps on the HUGE models...

NEWS******
I'm downloading just about every freeware modeling program in sight. I'll post a review and comments about them once I'm done playing with them all... Oh, and links. I'll post links, too.

STICKY THIS!!! Please?

Actually, it's not near as hard as you might think. The only problems I've had is with the normals getting kinda messed up in the md3 export, but that's fixable in Anim8or, Milkshape, or just about any other program you might have.

Mayeb if DeeZire will let me, I can upload it to him, and he can put it on this site...
