Oh, you're talking about real life...

The Germans and Russians did not like each other Stalin was jsut... strange because even with all the warning, Stalin still didn't believe word aobut the invasion. The Germans did have the treaty but broke it when Hitler had taken over Europe and was bombarding england in the Battle of Britain. He believed that the Soviets woudl be ap ush over, after all he did fight in WWI and also, the Russian purges had destroyed most of the senority in the Russian Military.

You know, a interesting WWII fact is that before the Battle of Stalingrad(Present Day Volgagrad), a Panzer unit was reactivated after about three months weathering the cold, some of the tanks didn't turn on and otehrs even caught fire because while they were insolated by hay, mice had gone in and chewed the wiring out:-p

No the army is a stupid body with a few pockets initiative, told what to do and it does it, most of the time. It's like a computer running on Windows.

Umm... the whole Red Alert series storyline is that WWII didn't happen. Take a look here for the big storyline:

http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/dosw...quer_story.txt

It was written before RA2 was released, but you get the idea.

Er, we aren't stupid and WWII still happened with the Russians and Europeans and aparantly the United States and Japan as evidenced by the Arizona War Memorial.

By jumping a over a few plot holes, Russia invaded Europe(probably before the purges of the late 1930s, maybe they didn't happen because of no Hitler, maybe WWII didn't happen until the 50s because without the Germans, tanks technology would not have been that advanced, that is unless the purges still never happened. But if Stalin didn't create a big concern like Germany, Britain and America, the two dominant naval powers, might have gone to war... so it's logical taht Stalin invades around the time of Hitler and Kane gave them the advanced tank technology and such ...whatever) and invaded Western Europes, by not including Nikoli Tesla and the Iron Curtain, it's a pretty plausible story.

If WW II wasn't there, what are the Arizona monument and the Iwo Jima and the Berlin wall doing in RA2?

It's called a plothole. It's not the only one RA2 has. Example:

Romonov: It seems that the Allies will defeat us using a brand new invention called a Chronosphere! We must attack Einstien's lab so the Chronosphere is never invented!

Me: Wait... wasn't the chronosphere invented to attack Stalin in RA1? And if chrono stuff is so new, what's with the chrono miner, legionairre, ivan, and commando? Not to mention the chrono tank from Aftermath!
