Help with making shps
Here are the steps I followed in making or trying to make a shp rather.
It's an infantry from another game, after a zillion screenshots I arranged everything into jpg format with a blue background and all.
1. I converted the images to pcx
2. Convert to 8 bit
3. In xcc mixer right click on the first image and select copy shp(ts)
That's after applying the pallet.
4. THen I get the shp
The problem is on the sho I see only the last image in the shp sequence, plus when I view it with shp viewer I don't get the whole shp, just that last image. Now with this in mind could someone please tell me how to conver t a series of jpg pics a shp(Preferably a working one)

The picture won't tell u much, it's a 264 images shp, yet I can only see the last image. That is when I click on the shp in xcc mixer it just shows it as 1 image not 264, and the image it shows is the last one in the series of images. Now what I want to know is how do you go about converting from jpg -> pcx -> shp, cause I am obviously missing something here.

It is not in the game yet, this is right after converting the pcx to shp in xcc mixer.

You're really not giving enough info but I'll guess -
Every image must have the 4 numbers in their filenames, like
IMAGENAME 0000.pcx, IMAGENAME 0001.pcx, etc.
Note the space between the IMAGENAME and the 0000
If you have other files in the same folder, that have the same filename but different extensions, this can interfere with XCC. Like if you have IMAGENAME 0000.pcx and IMAGENAME 0000.jpg, XCC trips over itself and nothing gets done.
Look in the bottom left status bar of XCC when you do the conversion, it will tell you if the process succeeded or failed...

Yeah that's what I think the problem is...
I use _IMAGENAME 0000.EXT for the source art and IMAGENAME 0000.pcx for the base images myself, then they can stay in the same folder...

WTF are you saving to j-peg format for? Thats a lossy format that will degrade the image quality when you save to the format. Save to .png or .gif (since the files must be 256 colours) which are none-lossy for your source images before a save to pcx if you must have an intermediate. Its better to go straight to pcx of course though. If you can't use the suggested formats, use bmp instead. Make sure as suggested you don't have shadow combine selected and if you are making infantry or buildings, you need to use shadowsplit the first time you convert to .shp.
