Default Particle Systems that Actually Damage?

I just got a great idea after reading the RE:Systems thread. Can you give a building a damage particle system that actually does damage? That would be cool and realistic.

Can the damage be on the particle system itself or do I need to do something else? Particle system anims never seem to be in the art file is why I'm asking.

I think so, but I havent seen this done. I do know that in TS a particle system doing positive damage was used to create a force shield thing in a mod, but I heard that in RA2 particle systems wont carry damage. Not tried.

Hmmm, does this mean I need a workaround or something? You mean there's no damage tag for ParticleSystems? I wonder if I could add the animation to art.ini anyway and give it a warhead.

Could you make a ParticleSystem that spawns a stationary particle that does damage? The Virus cloud is a particle and it does damage. Could it be done that way?

i thought it could inflict damage by adding the "Damage=" entry in the Particle entry involved. .
