Default paletes

in argcmdr's xcc tutitorial it talks about having the correspondant palettes applied when converting pcx to shp, what are palettes?

palletes are handlers of proper coloring. like fire01.shp uses ANIM.PAL when the animation (fire01.shp) plays ingame.

palletes are color tables that tell which colors an image uses. It saves space, so the game can load them faster.

...as the palette is on a separate file and doesnt need to be loaded on every graphic.
