Default Cannon Recoil

Can cannon recoil still be implemented in RA2? Can you make tanks rock when they fire?

I don't think it can be done. The only thing's that could have recoil are barrels, and through the use of hva files (although that can only be done with a turret and it will only affect turret.)

recoil?! look at the grand cannon [French] to be specific. when it fires, the cannon recoils. but for tanks, you cannot make their turrets recoil, but make them rock, yes. just add "Rocker=yes" to the weapon's warhead and it should work properly. when the tank fires its weapon, it "rocks"!

but when the cannon ball has hit any surface and it affects the tank who fired that round. it does not recoil but it reacts to the "heavy punch" of the tank round..

I haven't seen my APOCs rock even though they have two guns that do about 250 each.

I have, their range is ten. Rocker only makes things in around range 5 or less rock. :-p. I've observed this in my attempts to flip a Flak Track.

Its not that xcomet. The Apocalypse, as well as every other vehicle, has a Weight= setting which determines its weight. The degree of rocking depends on the weight value of a unit. That's why you see IFV nearly tipping over when a kirov drops bombs nearby, when compared to a grizzly tank.
