Major mod needs AI help
The Warhammer 40,000 mod needs some AI help for one of the new sides:
So far (Version 1.0), there are Space Marines (Allies) and Chaos Space Marines (Soviets). In Version 2.0 there will be the Imperial Guard (also Allies, based on Germany. I think the Space Marines are the USA and Chaos Space Marines are Russia). The Imperial Guard will be ALMOST completely unique compared to the Space Marines (different units, tanks etc etc etc).
The problem, as Lt. Zack has discovered, is that the AI will not work for the Imperial Guard. Lt. Zack is an experienced modder (to those who don't know him), so any help from DeeZire or other AI modders would be a great help. The site is:

I'm not an expert with it, but... As I advised LtZack today (obviously, that answer is unused yet), try looking in here, that may help you in creating your AI. For now, can we see your ai.ini and rules.ini, maybe there's something you overlooked, say prereqs/owners...?

Suggestion: Get Yuri's Revenge. I know it's hard work to transfer the mod from RA2 to YR, but with YR you could use the Yuri's side for the imperial guard...since in YR, the AI is coded for three sides, it should be a lot easier to edit it...

We are using YR, but I think Yuri's going to be saved for someone else (Tyranids most likely).

I would assume your problem is getting that third side to use the units..
if the prequsits and sides are set propelry they should build the right buildings.
as for the AI to use the units you will have to make the triggers side specific for each of the Space Marines and Imperial guard.
You will need to set the trigger as an allied general side, then give it the proper side that the trigger will work for.
I dont have any of my old RA2\Yuri AI stuff anymore or i would show a few examples.
and if its the buildings giving you problems.. I'll have to look into that further.
Hope that helps some..

ok here is the problem, the AImd.ini is fine no problems there at all, as I have tried giving the non-working side the same AI as the working sides (Space Marines) and it still didnt work I have also started from scratch with the AI (many times ) and it still doesnt work so I am pritty convenced that it is something more than the AImd.ini file so if anyone may have some knoledge on this problem please post.
