I used the Tutorial and i improved a bit the Ion cannon and now not destroy All the objects in the area of attack of the SW and the damage only appear in the first frame of the Ion Cannon like in TS (with your tutorial it damage only while exist the wave), the CellSpread=3 & 8.5 minutes as TS.
I changed the wave and the Ion cannon by an resized version of the TS shps and i added the sound of the Ion cannon... Not destroy the big buildings with a lot of strength (example: SW, ConYards, ShipYards & some defenses with size 1x1) and can destroy other buildings (example: civilian buildings, refineries, warfactories...).

But u've lost one of cool SWs. I love Genetic Mutator. It's my visceroid mutator ! I don't want to lose it even for the ion cannon ! And that's why i had found another way, the fake SW.

I tried your tutorial about fake SW & tested and i don't like the idea :lol: ...
I preffer delete for MP games the gen. mutator and make the chronosphere & Iron Curtain a secret tech and make only avalaibles in single player campaings in my mod (with this idea all sides have 1 SW in MP games )... i don't remember if the INIs of the Missions is possible or not invert the Ion cannon into Gen mutator again :/ ... i need try this

I dunno. Well... uhhh.. hmmm... you could alter the paradrop superweapon so taht an invisible plane is sent onto the screen and doesn't give oyu a ping. It's not a valid target and it will fire a bolt or something.

This will coz a problem with other paradrops bcoz all the paradrops use the same aircraft. Nah man... scrap this idea.
