German is actually the biggest language in Europe... And hey, it's not that hard. Try learning it some time, you'll be surprised how similar it is to English (and even more to Dutch).
(suggested) translation: I'm now trying to say something in German but it's maybe just a lot of nonsense. I speak a little bit of German, but I haven't been to Germany a lot so my German is definitely not perfect. And now you try to say something in Dutch

It's actually "jawohl", and it's sort of like "yes". It's not like the normal yes ("ja" in German) but there's no other way to translate it into English. If anyone could explain this in more detail?
Dutch has a similar word BTW ("jawel").

It's actually quite similar to "Yes, Sir!". It's an acknowledgement.

Sometimes I think them Germans are taught that they won the second World War and are now rulers of the world :tard: .

WTF? If somebody'd be saying that in real life, he'd be so retarded he wouldn't even know about WWII...and actually, Germans probably know more about the war than anybody else. I mean, every few years studies show that the Americans still think the Second World War started with Pearl Harbor. In one study most of them didn't even know to whom they were allied against the Nazis! People still don't get that it's been more than 60 years since the war – the Germans are nothing like the Nazis. (In fact, we have laws against racism and national socialism...while there's nothing like that in the US...not to mention the KKK...yet the Americans are the ones always calling us the Nazis...)
@ImmoMan: Nearly correct - just "Unsinn" is male and it's auf Niederländisch...
@Infraid: "Achtung" is the correct spelling...it means "Attention". "Warning" would be "Warnung".
The funny thing is that most foreigners, especially the english speaking ones, only know German from WWII movies...so they know words like "Achtung", "Jawohl", "Panzer" or "Blitzkrieg", but almost no normal German words...
Oh, and one more thing: There are hundreds of thousand of Germans speaking proper english...it's just that almost none of them are active in gaming communities, and the ones playing ego shooters aren't the smartest ones either...

My German is that good Ren. They couldn't have tried teaching me it for 2,5 years without having the least bit of succes . Plus German looks quite a lot like Dutch. For example:
My text was:
German: "Bratwurst jawohl wie spaet ist es nein gehen"
Dutch: "Braadworst jazeker hoe laat is het nee gaan"

okay so let me get this straight:
ehem...a guy comes asking for help, using no punctuations (took me almost an hour to partially analyze his post), Daedelus suggests that he posts the code; afterwards, ren suggests that the guy USES punctuation, CJ says something that i dont recall, Ren talks Deutch, CJ does what apparently seems that he is replying him and finally this turns into a bit of a language and history class (regarding the WWII thing)?
