actually i made a room in a 3d editor
But i meant to say that 3ds editing is easier if you comare it to making inf, wich need a lo of frames

out of curiosity, what program would I use for 3D editing if I just happened to get generals? i mean, i know there are lots out there like milkshape and that, but which one do people mostly use?

i decided to start working on my avp mod again, and already have nearly half of all the USCM units done.... mainly because they are all just kinda recolours of other units, but the ini is just about finished for it, got most of my cameos and such, and am starting to make buildings.... this is generally gonna take a while thanks to the lack of help and people who know how to do this stuff better than me...

Wow. I can't believe someone is making an AVP mod. If it wasn't such trouble to reinstall the RA2 modding tools, I'd give you a hand.

BTW, the assault rifle you were talking about earlier is the M41A Pulse Rifle (just to show off my trivial knowledge of the AvP universe )

BTW, I hope you include all the species real strengths and weaknesses.

USCM: So much firepower. Anything that tries head on attacks gets ripped apart. And they outrange everything. However, not very maneuverable, and no defensive mechanism (ala leaping away, cloaking)

Preds: Cloaking, powerful close range attacks, limited long range attacks, not incredibly fast.

Aliens: Fast, one or two hit kills up close, but no long range attacks. Can reproduce rapidly.

Part of me thinks this would be better as a Generals mod, the engine has more possibilities, although making infantry is a pain. Anyway, good luck!

i was thinking about the generals engine for it as well, and it was suggested... however, with the amount of help that i will be able to get, it would be finished in the year 2010, especially as i am just getting to grips with the generals editing..... if i could get some help with a generals one, i would go for it straight away, i would prefer a generals one, making aliens jump from holes in the ground... brilliant..... but i suppose i will just start with this for the time being...

Well, recently I've been trying to make new infantry in the Generals engine, and the first thing I tried was the USCM marine. All my attempts have failed so far though....

well, i have textures for them, but not the know how to edit the mesh.... the worst part will be trying to make the aliens if i ever did try....

anyways.... i beleive i have sorted out the "different mutation anims creates neutral units" problem... the largest problem after that is deciding if i must rely on the facehugger to alien system... although i have some ideas on that.... playtesting at the moment... dang... i need some more staff on this....
