OK then, since I have no idea where French Polynesia is either...

1). Yes, the Netherlands are Holland. But Holland is also the name of two of the twelve provinces (i.e. North Holland and South Holland). Since the country is usually referred to as 'Nederland' in dutch, I prefer saying the Netherlands.

Which english geezer thought of calling our language Dutch, I don't know. But it's really nothing like our word 'Nederlands' for it.

2). The Map. Since you live in french Polynesia, I think you know which country is France. The one above it is Belgium. In the south of Belgium, people speak French, in the northern parts they speak Dutch. It sounds funny .

The country above Belgium is the Netherlands. I live in the more South-western part. This map doesn't show the province Flevoland, and that's stupid. It's completely built up from the water, but nobody reckons that on any map. Except in Caesar III. They do draw it there, but it has been founded in the 20st century, not in the classic times 0_o .

Oh! I see... poor Belgians...
I now understand why french jokes often aim at Belgians !!

and yeah, don't you have any flood prob/crisis, since you live under the sea-level ??
In France, some villages located in mountains succeed in getting flooded.... :tard:

otherwise... did you finish Caesar III ?
