Default Nuclear fortress

I am trying to make a new aircraft that flys to an enemy base and fires a nuke. This works, kind-of. The plane fires the weapon [nukecarrier], but the nuke won't launch unless the plane is shot down, I am sure the problem lies in the weapon. Do any of you know which weapon spawns the nuke without having my plane die?

Just make a new weapon and copy the Nuke.

You mean copy the nuke special? I never thought of that, but would it be a primary weapon, or should I just add sw=nukespecial?

I already have a Nuke Fortress and this is what the properites of mine consist of.

I copied a Maverick Weapon and named it to Maverick X and then just gave it the warhead of Nuke.

and thats it, now my flying fortress drops a Nuke Bomb
