Adding Units with XXC Mixer
For quite some time I have been busy trying to add new units to RD/YR and I haven't found a proper tutorial explaining how to convert or how XXC Mixer comes into effect for adding vxls, hvas and shps. I have already made the RulesMD.ini and ArtMD.ini entries for the new unit and I would be greatful if someone could explain to me step by step of what comes after this...I couldn't imagine it being too difficult.
Thank you.

Well... could you be more specific? What kind of unit do you want to add and do you have the art already?

Since it is the most complex, a tank. I have the turrent, barrel and body vxl already.
I have made the ArtMD entry already, if that is what you mean by art.

You don't add stuff with Mixer, you do it with Mix Editor. Create a new mix file, drag-drop your vxls, hvas, and stuff into it, save, compact, close and enjoy. More questions? Just ask.

I never use the MIX editor or Mod maker. Just put the files in the game directory (ex: C:\Games\Red Alert 2)

yep, but do it simple at first : add them directly in your game dir.... and when you'll have more than 1000 files, you should consider putting them in MIX files

Easier viewing and renaming. When you're a 100% sure the unit is right, than put it in the MIX files.
