Default Realistic Help :)

I was thinking of making the MIG buildable, and since it's not a V/STOL aircraft, i was wondering could i make a copy of it(and maybe a few more later for the other sides and stuff) and get it to take off horizontal, than gain altitude(after like 6 cells), and land the same way?





(oh, and the new site looks awsome! very glad to see ya got rid of that lame slide down effect when going to the index... (but the forum buttons need to be changed, and the thing where it doesn't let you put a space in your name really sucks :/ )

Planes can only be vtol in RA2m thre is no way to make it land like a normal plane.

how about makeing it a spawned aircraft? it could be launched horizontally by the airfield like the hornet is by the carrier(well, not exactly horizontal)... ?

You could. But even the F/A-18 from the Carrier takes off vertically, then moves forward. I think. :|

yeah, but doesn't the carrier launch the hornet like the dred/v3 launches their missiles? you can choose what angle for it to launch at (the dred/v3 anyways)

I was screwing around and made the MiG buildable, and whenever something came, it launched like a harrier and kills them.

You can make the MiG buildable by just doing one little thing: Change the

. You'll have to make some pad for it to land on though as it's an aircraft type.

just once i'd like to read a reply from someone who actually read the post he/she's replying to (guess not in this life time)

i've already made it buildable, some time ago, and since it doesn't take off vertically like the harrier does, i was wondering if i could get a building (a runway/airbase type thing) to spawn and shoot it like the carrier does (and it's it's possible i'd like to have several different planes that are launched like this...

i'll just make it spawned by a airfield/runway type thing...

on to more pressing matters...


i've been trying to get this nuclear sub to work, but theres one thing...

the nuclear warhead it fires doesn't create a radiation field, i put the RadLevel=800 in the weapon wntry (copied the cruiselauncher weapon) but it doesn't create the field...

it fires the cruise missile (cmisl from boomer) up to 2500, and does the nukanim when detonation, than the 10 cellspread, and 2000 damage, but the only problem is that it doesn't create the radiation field...

(also, i gave the nuclear subs the raderuptionweapon (i think that's what it's called) as their deathweapon thing, but they don't create the radation field when they die, is there a way to fix this? or can it not be done?)

(and just for your information, currently russia in my mod has two subs, the "Typhoon Class Nuclear Ballistic Submarine" and the "Akula Class Nuclear Attack Submarine" (the ingame names, named after their real life counterparts), the typhoon fires a nuclear missile, is limited to 1, and fires a torp at enemy subs(it's also $5000), the Akula Class (real name) fires a single torp, but is more powerful and longer range (10 cells compared to the 7 cells range of the typhoon's torp), it's also 2 faster (5 instead of 3 for the typhoon), and only $1500)

(oh, one more last thing, the black on black text is really, really, really (oh, did i say really?) hard to see, (maybe white on black would be better??? )
