Infantry-> infantry -> vehicle? is it possible?
my main aim is to end up being able to upgrade everything to a point where it transforms up the tech scale, although i think it is impossible. This is for my AvP mod.
Queen ( MCV) deploys into queen with sack ( Const.yard)
she lays eggs, which then deploy into facehuggers. These then ( using an Animtoinfantry animation) transform into Drones/warriors ( depending on the status of the facehuggers veterancy) which then can either transform into another, fight and become elite which transforms into a totally different type. i have quite alot of my units coded this way ( i may change this system to an easier one), but i want to make an infantry somehow turn into a vehicle ( praetorian to queen). is this possible in the slightest?

You cant, infantry cannot be changed to other infantry, vehicles or buildings.

Well...while you could do Infantry to Infantry abusing the Genetic Mutator and/or the AnimToInfantry-code, I agree with DeeZeL that the rest is impossible...
And under no circumstances it will be possible on the complex scale you'd like to acomplish. Sorry, but that's how it goes...

The Queen lating eggs transforming to drones/warriors can be possible if those drones are SHP vehicles, by making a Building SHP with an egg buildup and an invisible active animation which spawns the drone/warrior you want.

damn.... i seriously need to learn ai coding....
well... at least i got the "AnimToInfantry creates neutral" problem solved with the aliens... works perfectly with the aliens.... even makes plenty of sense... i guess i am back to asking if anyone is free for ai coding, vxl's and shp's...

What you could do is use the GI deploy method maybe set it so they deply (transform) like GIs and make them automatically undeploy straight away into something else, not sure if it would work. *shurgs* Just my thought on how it could work.

Sorry, I'm a noob. But why cant you make the "Queen" a vehicle? Then it would be much easer, Wouldent it?
