hes got a point. we tried making a new anim too (and i suppose it worked). just take a screen shot of a tesla bolt firing and repaint it (make everything a purple-maroon color background, but dont change the bolt.

Why would you need to make a new animation? Isn't it a colored line. That isn't an animation.

I believe it is hardcoded. The laser line is generated by the game engine, just like the electric bolt.
