Hornets,Missles,and spawned units
I would like anyone to post anything they know about spwned units so that I may better understand how to use them.....I know they realy don't work well with temporal warheads. I know they that if you make them buildable you can't control them...I think they need a parent unit to be controlable..If you try to spawn a unit that does not have the spawed=yes tag you will spawn an invisable somthing that can't be selected or controled and is funtionaly useless, and has a single red dot of health.
What do you know?

I think you can only spawn AircraftTypes. Not 100% sure, though.
(Not taking slaves and AnimToInfantry into account)

Adding a bit of info, Buildings can also spawn aircraft if theyre 1x1.

Indeed. So, to sum it up, you can spawn any working AircraftType from either a building or a VehicleType. (Do AircraftTypes work?)

I think someone already tested it and didn't make it work...
but, if someone can find the time to test it again....

I think spawning from jumpjets worked but aircraft would only return if jumpjet wasnt balloonhover, and when jumpjet actually landed (Which makes the idea of a carrier impossible :/)

ok can I get a biulding to spawn units that are free of control (IE retargeting does not cause previously spwaned units to crash or retarget.) I want to make a unit generator.

In YR, I have spawned aircraft from vehicles, other aircraft, and buildings, including the pillbox, the Grand Cannon and the Allied Barracks.
I have not tested spawning aircraft from jumpjet vehicles, but I assume that it would work as well.
If the spawner retargets, all of it's spawned aircraft will retarget aswell.

So, buildings can spawn aircraft if theyre not only 1x1?
And it possible to spawn Vehicles? And infantry?
