2 questions... how come whenever i save a map as single player whenever i pick it from the list RA2 crashes...

If you make the map to be single player, it shouldn't even be visible on the multiplayer maps list. Single player maps are those which you play in campaigns, skirmish maps are called 'multiplayer' maps.
When you started the map in FA2, did you choose 'Single player map' or 'Multiplayer map'? If you selected Multiplayer, it won't be a proper single player map even if you save it that way. It will need lots of corrections, which I, being not a map maker, cannot name. Sorry. Wait until someone with a mapping knowledge comes here.
BTW, this is NOT IRC, so don't expect an answer the same second you ask something

yea... i did select single player but how do i get to my maps to test them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! arg

rename it to all01umd and start the Allied campaign.
