adding units in red alert 2
i want to add a unit, whether its with the map editor or not, actually a few units, can someone explain how to do so?
they are:
-A Tesla Plane for the soviets with speed of 7, appearance of the harrier, and the rest of the values are unkown as of now,
-A Prism Plane for the allies with the look of a prism tank with wings, speed of 7.
-A new infantry unit, Prism Trooper
-A new infantry unit, Rocket Trooper
-A new Tank, Transformer Tank, which when deployed turns into a flying transport that shoots the bullets of whatever is inside it, and can hold 20 men. also can hold 5 tanks.

Copy, paste & edit?
Have you actually opened the rules yet? Do you even know about the rules yet? Most of it is self-explaining or explained by comments. If that doesn't help, there are the ini-guides. If they don't help, there are tutorials. And if all that didn't help, then there's us.
But we seriously ain't got the time to give you a crash course in copying and pasting. If you really want to mod, you will have to start reading anyway. So just do it now instead of starting thread over thread here.

Depending on which game your trying to edit. Either RA2 or YR you need to get XCC mIxer and XCC Mix Editor. Also i would advise you download Deezires INI Editing Guide its an indisposable asset.
Get XCC mixer & XCC Mix Editor here: http://xccu.sourceforge.net/
and Modding FAQ guide here: http://ra2faq.gamerzvilleuk.co.uk/

Sight. Why cant we just make a guide to newbies on all forums, get it stickied right under their bloody noses..
most wouldnt even notice it probably.
Ra2 modding isnt hard buy you'll need to search and read a lot if you want to understand it. These forums have all sorts of tutorials and links, always read them before asking questions that have been answered 1000 times

Daedalus you got that right. LOL Renegade. Its getting ridiculious at the amount of people (namely newbies) who ask the same question over n over n over n over n over.
LOOK BEFORE ASKING "STUPID" QUESTIONS

"ive heard of them but not actually opened them."
