I dare to doubt that last post of AAG.

Considering the fact that expandmd01 is part of the patch, you can be pretty sure your expands will be read

May be it is so. But I noticed that in some mods files placed in expands are read and in others YR doesn't read ini files

Then it is most probable that those ini files are incorrectly named or have missing/buggered code.

After all, how YR 1.000 reads -mds is totally uninteresting. Mods should be written for the latest version, no matter how many software-pirates can't patch.

I mean, despite the fact that the patch adds valuable fixes (not all that are needed, but still, there are some fixed), updates etc. You can't possibly expect people to downgrade/reinstall YR just for your mod.

Therefore, who gives a fuck about YR 1.000?
Real modders should have the latest version of the original game, and that in itself prevents them from even being able to test their mod on 1.000.

So there.

Yeah, but a screwed update is an issue with this. Search through posts around two months ago, we were discussing something similar and it ended up being a badly done update.
