Default Off topic (Sorry)

Sorry but in the technical/troubleshooting forum the newest post was from 2003 so I just hoped to get someone inhere to help me a little...
My Yuri hasen'y worked in a long time now, and even after formatting 3-4 times and up/downgraded all my drivers, it still dosen't work..
The problem is I execute it and then at the starting screen, (After the EA Games) where is says loading in the lowerleftcorner, it freeze... Ctrl-Alt-Del and then it says gamemd 99% cpu....
Anyone know how to fix this?

Some questions:
How much free space do you have on disk where YR is installed?
Does you system satisfy minimum requirements needed for the game?

win xp?
if you're running the shitiest operating system ever created, try setting the RA2/YR executables to run in compatibility mode for win 98.

also, make sure you are patched to the latest version (Yr - 1.001)

Yes I'm running XP and I've tried both 98 and 95 mode, and that didn't work..
This is the story ->
I played every day in I dunno how long, then I got a virus and had to format, then instead of using XP Home Edition witch I had, I installed XP pro with all the same drivers, and since then it just won't work....

You will have to reinstall the game anyway. Why? Because you formated your drive 3-4 times. Which means, your registry is now on the big RAID-array in heaven. And without a proper, never looked-at registry, you'll get the "all my units blow up after X seconds!"-bug. No way around it. So, to make it short: Even if you get the game running, you will have to reinstall it.

Ergo it's no use trying to get it work if you didn't reinstall it after you reinstalled XP the last time.

P.S.: XP sucks. Get a real OS.

EDIT: Thou shalt not turn on n00by-flame-mode late at night :dead:

I think he was talking about the OS CDs, not YR.
