spawning
a few questions.......
1) is it possible to make a warhead with 'sticky' animation that spawns the parent unit? , [think Teliaxu Leech]
2) Has anyone one out there figured out how to make mutated infantry on your side?
3) Can ground units spawn other ground units? so far they run away vertically off the map disregarding anything in their path.....or crash the game.....
oh btw i found the Dawn Of Darkness Screenshot, if you want it ill mail it to you....but dont except something big and fancy,.....yet

ground units can not be spawned from ground units theyget stuck under neath the unit that spawned it

1) You need a special anim for that to look good and unit spawn will be neutral unless you use InfDeath=10 (which will spawn the mutated infantry setted in rules.ini) value
2) InfDeath=10 on warhead, but this is forced to give always the same unit (In my conversion, the Contaminator mutates enemies into brutes only, and not into contaminators as the original Emperor)
3) No, Spawns can only be aircraft locomotor. Slaves logic can be only harvesting infantry (routine used by game forces this) and can only be one entry called SLAV.

yep, that unit spawn thing is a "no can do"
Well I figured a way to make a sticky animation that can spawn infantry via 9th infdeath, it replaces the Ivan Bomb logic. which is quite simple, just replace the five bomb frames in MOUSE.shp with something rabid and vile. Change certain settings on the IvanWH, so that it doesnt use the Skull explosion, and the verses to an organic setting.
Since im going to use it for my brand spanking new orginal infected infantry logic this is perfect., ( brood mother mutates nearby infantry, they hatch and then find other infantries to infect. infected infantris have around 30-50 seconds to seek medical attention before its too late.) kinda like the T-virus in resident evil..one scratch is sufficent...and the good thing is there is a cure....

:tard: anyways, after skrimish testing this, it does work as i expected, however theirs a glitch in the mutation process causing infantries to spawn as a neutral 'strain', giving a nice cancer-like effect....
