My plans for my own side!!!!

As you can see i am new here.

I want to make my own side. I have seen some great tuts on how to add sides BUT how do i make em? What program do i use? wccmixer??? Like i want to make my own structers and i have seen this done before like at www.eaglered.net on the Asian Alliance part of the site. They made there own buildings and units. How do i do this? What program or programs are needed? Post ur tuts here and program downloads. Also if enough is posted we can change the name to this topic to How to make your own side and sticky it for all the noobs like me. P.S. i cant reply to any info till 7:30 tonight. PLZ HELP!!!!

SORRY FOR TEH DOUBLE POST!!!!! Ok i downloaded a program called SHP Builder 3.2. Can i make my own structers in that????????

DrThraX in Shp builder you make the graphics and animation for shp based units/buildings/infantry, to actualy change/create the building you have to start messing up with the .ini files rules.ini ar.ini , sound.ini you can figure out what it does, ai.ini controls the Artificial Inteligence (yeah right) also known as the AI.
Since you say you're noob i recomend for al noobs Tibed. You can get it from http://www.tibed.net if you wan'a get into the graphics/animation of the game i recomed you to get a voxel editor and a Hva editor olso. And remember the Xcc utilities are a Ra2/Yr 's modder best friend so....

I strongly disagree with naghi, do not use tibed, instead try learning coding yourself, tibed is not usefull for adding sides, instead you should just learn ini editing, like most of us did.

As for art, i recomend getting either paint shop pro or photoshop.. With the help of XCC mixer you can convert PCX files to shp files (the ra2 image file) for good tutorials on getting used to rules i sugest you visit http://yrarg.cncguild.net

TibEd sucks hard. It neuters your modding-abilities. Whoever promotes it probably never did a real change to the game.

Making new side isnt easiest thing.First try to download some vxls and shps,some tutorials,and make few new units.But i think making true new country is impssible.You must change one from existing countries and you will have to do many things with Owner=,ForbiddenHouses=and RequiredHouses=.And you cant make new interface.It will have interface of countries side(Allies,Soviet)And DONT USE TIBED!!!
It makes game crashing.Better download Deezires INI guide.

Yeah, you are all right about TibEd, some time ago, I stopped using it, and now I'm modyfing inis on my own, if you start doing this, you will become better modder!

Those are both rather expensive for just modding.

OS SHP Builder 3.2 is sufficient.

Thank you all for helping! I will read the tuts posted by SpeederYR. But i was told in XCCmixer i can make........well lets say in XCCmixer i could make a guy shoot prisim. Is this true and if it is plz post tuts. I know im a noob sorry guys but u r a big help.
EDIT! ok i started reading the first tut. It doesnt say anything on what program to use. What one do i use. You guys all say tibec or whatever it is suks so i will not try that.
