Man.. this is a futile and ignorant hazing which only discourages people from maturing as modders. I frankly don’t hate newbies because if I let other people’s ignorance bother me, then I would simply go crazy.
Give them a break, if they ask a stupid question answer it or don’t answer it. Let your yes’s be yes’s and no’s be no’s. I don’t believe flaming is allowed, and calling someone a stupid newbie is hardly constructive.
Doesn’t everyone start as a “noob” at some point? If we ridicule the younger generations of modders then how can those new generation sever mature?
But in Renegade’s defense:
And to cabal 901, Ren was being sarcastic about the GI nuke thing, and use of “##^@$” or any expletives in a sentence is rather tactless..
and BTW cabal 901, a “noob” or a “newbie” is a newcomer and they are typically ignorant and unfortunately stereotyped as such.

Actually, we differ between n00b and newb. The latter is simply new and uneducated, while the former is an ignorant idiot.
So no, not everybody starts as a n00b. And being a n00b is definately not encouraged.
This was not about newbies asking unsmart questions. This was about Zelab and cabal continuously posting dumb stuff, no matter what the topic is.

Also im making something else. Its a pack of soildiers in vxl format. Vxl? you might ask. Yep thats right vxl. So now you can use the import section from another voxel tool and add these guys to your tanks. Then use hva edit to move them around and to scale them. So now you can add that soildier into that hummvee with no roof (or something like that) voxel you made. My next project is secret.

hmm, I always thought that "n00b" was a slang of newbie, my mistake, and yes Cabal 901 and Zelab have no idea what they are talking about most of the time, but its quite pleasant if you just zone them out when they something stupid.

Yeah, normslly it's used for the same...but we're not normal. We're special.
And see what I mean, cabal? Niner is younger than most of my siblings, yet that idea is simply great. It makes sense, it's practically absolutely possible, and I don't remember anything like it having been done before. Niner is on his way to become a great modder. While you do nothing but bitch.

Who cares? I'm having fun reading the arguments. Keep 'em coming. Procrastination is good right now, until RA3 comes along...
Shit, I have to get my mod out before then or I'm screwed.
