The very same rules entries that are used to change the in-game colours?

How could I incorporate this patch into my mod... will it interfere? Will I have to get people who download my mod to also download your patch, or can I just embed your patch in my mod (giving you credit of course)? What exactly does this patch do, anyway?

The rules entry is a new section:

[MenuColors]
2=0,0,0

This would make the second color (red) in the menu black.
Works for every color except the 9th (observer color, unsupported because not needed).
Note that the patch version supporting this (v1.04) is not released yet, as I'm trying to find some nasty bug.

About implementing into your patch: better would be telling your mod users to get the latest patch version, as I'm trying to implement new features and fixing bugs all the time.
Bugs? Yes. Unfortunately, there are some unknown ones I'm "fighting" with. But even the unpatched YR has bugs, so don't blame me
Anyway, I'm about 99.9% sure that I'll find them some time.

For information about what my patch does, check out my homepage and check the "Features" page.
Maybe you'll be wanting to use other features except the menu colors as well

You wouldn't have to set special things in your current mod.
I'm trying to make the mod so that things only get changed if you set special things.
Everything you have to do to use my patch's features is explained on my tutorial pages.

Hmm, I read the features - now I get it. I thought this was called a "patch" because it fixes stuff. But it doesn't. It adds new features. So it's not really a patch - it's an add-on/expansion/upgrade utility or what have you. I'm not asking you to rename it, I'm just saying I was a little confused, that's all

I think this is the sort of thing that will eventually do what the Assault Mappacks do: they are ready for download, and modders tell people to download them to fully enjoy the mod. That's OK I guess. But I think I'll come back later, when it's more complete - your patch seems very much like a work in progress at the moment and until you iron out some bugs and generally clean things up and have a nice little zip download with instructions to modders on how to fully support the patch, I think I'll stay off it for a while.

But like I said before, I'll be watching it very closely...

You're doing a great job BTW pd.

Thanks

Actually it's not a bad idea to wait until the main bug(s) is fixed.
Besides, I wanna see Whiteboy's Rules 1.5 as soon as possible

I'll check out 1.0 by tomorrow

I'd prefer it if you didn't... it's an embarassment......kind of. You can try it, just keep in mind that V1.0 is to version 1.5 as Terminator is to Terminator 2. And of course T2 is waaay better than T1. Everyone knows that.

Besides, when the in-development Community Patch is unveiled things will begin to make a lot more sense to everyone...

Just recently saw T3 again...the visual effects...the nukes...*dreams*
Anyway, it's not like the Assault MapPacks. It's not something you download to enhance the experience, it's something you get or there is no experience.

Okay... I just can't seem to get too excited about it though. Someone infuse the hype juice into me!

Ren, you dream of nukes hitting all of the worlds major cities...?

I can't wait until T4.

Get those points off "n00b bashing" and "you can't prove God". There are better place s to put them, like the thing you need... modding skillz...

OOOOHHH I'm playing with fire now!!!

You think I can't see the 1337ness of the patch? I find your lack of faith distrubing, my young padawan. You are not yet ready for the Jedi trials.
