This tool interests me. In my mod, I have changed two of the colours in-game - pink to greyish-blakc, and yellow to gold. But of course, the menu screen still displays the pink and yellow. Will this tool let me change the appearance of JUST the menu colours and NOT the actual in-game colours?

If so, that's great. But can you think of a way I can put this in a mod with XCC Mod Creator? I don't want every person who downloads my mod to have to use your tool just to change a relatively small thing.

Well, note - if you're using/planning to use my patch - that you'd have to restore the original colors before patching a new version.

I dunno, this is controversial - your "Rock patch" I think it's called modifies teh game's exe file somehow to allow this. I also want to use Blade's Yuri UI but that requires something that messes with the exe file as well.

It doesn't matter really, I just want to know how I can implement the Yuri UI and the menu colour changes in my mod, completely seamlessely. By seamlessely, I mean that the player of the mod doesn't have to do anything (like run a tool for changing the colour). The mod must be played just like any other mod - you simply use the XCC launcher in my case. Nothing else.

Sorry Whiteboy, can't be done. All these things are hardcoded issues that can only be resolved by a modified exe.

The "Rock Patch" will at some point be included as part of a new community patch project that will be 'standardized', and will include the Rock Patch as well as non-mod included UMP.
If your mod needs it you just say "needs the latest version of the community patch"
It promises to be exceptionally cool. In the meantime, you'll just have to say "needs the Rock Patch version X or higher"

Well... I know the colors tool isn't really a help for modders. :S
But I promise that the colors will be customizable in the rules soon.

And nope, you cannot use Yuri's UI without my patch.
Same for new countries, infantry deaths etc.

Though you can say "no" because of legal reasons.
I didn't notice any reaction by EA yet. K, my patch's about 2 months old only.
But all in all I doubt that EA will react after all.

People who argue with "it just causes errors" etc rather should help me fixing them then, like martyr

It's not really been tested yet, but possibly, I was able to solve the main problems my patch caused (mysterious IEs which pointed to animations).

after 4th sides, and super weaons, he might patch a new mission selection screen into it so you can select yuri and even a 4th mission set. but thats not going to be for a while yet...

done: next patch version will allow you to define the menu colors by rules entries
