I must admit I do like Textpad... but most of it's feature are useless to me. So I use teh fast and easy Notepad.

What do I need I compare function for when I edit ini files?!?
With Notepad you can code in any language as well.

I'm coding HTML+JavaScript+CSS with it, C++ and possibly other things.
I even write my assembly "precode" in notepad.

Using tools like colored syntax etc just shows that you're not a good coder

This reminds me of the very first programmers from decades ago when computers were the size of bedrooms... they were as hardcore as you can possibly get. They worked entirely in binary. They must have had very different brains than normal people to do that and to do it so fast (yes, they were damn fast apparently)
