Default nuke gun?

hey, i was trying to do that nuke sniper thing but have a tank that has the nuke launch animation and then the nuke comes out of the sky onto its target (kind of a mobile nuke silo) any idea how i could do this?

um, im not sure about how, but im pretty sure that EXACT idea doesnt work, but there is a way to simulate the effect, i believe. but why not just make the nuke a miniature version and come out of the TANK itself? but, im not sure how well thatll work either. just wait for renegade, alliedg, cannisrabidus, or one of the other good modders to reply. feel free to correct me.

Wait for the good modders to reply?? Yeah, you can wait to be told that you can't do it the EXACT way you want to. Try making the warhead have a high damage like the nuke, and have it put out a radiation field, with inf death set to the radiation death. Sure you don't get the nuke from the sky, but if you put it on a V3 Rocket or a Dreadnaught missile,

if i wanted to do that i could just use nukepayload... but see im trying to make a tank launch a nuke missile, i know its possible with the animations and warheads, i just need a little more guidance...

edit: perhaps spawn=...?

problem is you need to triger the nuke action to the units target to do that.

if you replace the action on the nuke warhead with heal and try to heal the enemy, you'll trigger a nuke :P however Heal usually only works on yourself.

change the action to Attack and then everytime anything attacks, you'll trigger the nukelaunch... but if everything fires nukes, thats a bit insane...

not too sure, but i'll hint at boris, it might be possable to replace the boris airstrike with a nuke since his weapon triggers a unique action...

true, I'm just iterested in seeing how long it takes him to figure out if its possable or not. I'm not entirely sure the best way to do it myself, now what kinds of aplication it could be to us more experianced modders.

exactly ....

The moment i heard Nuke Gun i just think [AWP] warhead=NUKE, damage=500 and OMG!!! its amazing remarks.

Also I'm unsure but I think Maverick3 (the MIG weapon) warhead is unused ...

Everytime I need a weapon, I write a new one. And I write a new projectile and a new warhead to go with it. This way I can tweak them to my heart's content without worrying that I'm affecting anything else.

What are you doing if you are planning to make for ex. just stronger GI gun? Do you make new projectile and warhead for it? :P
