Yes that's what I'm saying. In practice you have to be careful where you place such modded mines though, because since the ore spawns so frequently, once a miner finds those cells, it won't look elsewhere. The miner will just milk those cells forever and ignore juicy fields that might be just a few cells further away. So such mines should be placed as the most distant mines.

Death3464, please order your thoughts. This is not a topic about Assault or about tutorials. You can start a new topic when you have a new question. You are doing this a lot in almost every topic you are in.

It's not bashing, it's admonishing. And I'll admonish anyone on this topic because I want these forums to be searchable, and the way to do that is to ensure that topics aren't buried inside of other topics. I'm doing this for everyone, but expecially for the benefit of those who are new.

Well I never really meant just you Cannis, I was really meaning that general rough time newbies have. In any situation, whether in RL or otherwise. Just a bit of empathy for the new guy. Because we all were, once...

well, after searching the YR executable, i can definitly say IsSensor= is not a rules tag, or any other kind of tag used by the game.

the sensor array tag was SensorArray= but doesn't seem to do anything, and since its on the phichic sensor, i am thinking that maybe it was some kind of hack to make the phichic sensor work.

All these hacks using old or otherwise defunct tags... it's spaghetti programming. "GOTO" stuff, you know?

yes, i program in PICs very often. to do a simple check you can have 5 bitchecks and just as many gotos.

anyway. Sensors= is the other units tag.

and hacks is not ALL gotos, theres a lot of logic actually removed from the game. adding that would be difficult because not only do you need to add any missing functions and get the addresses correct, but you also need to point to a lot of existing functions, and get those addresses right too. plus all the lookup tables and stuff. not easy work...
