Default I made I know it I give it to you.

Its been along time since I said or did anything here. I have been VERY busy IRL but I made a mod for YR I called it Project Afterfight. It was great and I worked on tons of coding Very little art thats not my thing. I made incredible weapons for it around the time I was working for the stygien State. But I gave the mod up on the grounds that all my cool weapons laged out the best computers. Thats not the point here. The point is I realized that YR has an amazing system for garrisoning units I think because of the Battlefortress. Any guy can use almost any type of weapon in a building. I think that a mod should be made focusing on urban combat...city maps involving diffrent troops taking biuldings....It was great fun when I played with it and I would hate to see it overlooked. This is my ideal I hope something comes of it.

problem with garrisoning buildings is there is a predefined range. ever see a sniper who can shoot 15 tiles away on the ground, but only 5 when he is in a tall building?

Regardless of what bobing just said, I do know the fun of enhanced urban combat. I made WR to support a system where you can tell the threat level of the garrisonning infantry by the pip colour. Green is weakest (GIs) and purple is absolutely deadly (for infantry that I will not name here ).

What's more, I made the vast majority of infantry able to garrison buildings. They all use different weapons, some AA... it's very intereting and fun to play.

only other thing with some weapons of 1 type and others of another is that they take it in turns, if it comes to a unit that can fire AA, it fires, next unit can't, so the entire firing process is halted untill something it can shoot comes within range.

Yeah, I noticed that. Sometimes the weapon that fires out of the building only fires once, if only when you force-fire. Just like the FireOnce= tag, but it happens when the infantry does not have this tag set to "yes"...

Well, most modders find mappers to make maps for them. Not many do it themselves. If you want to see some maps, go find them. They are out there, in a little place called map paradise.
