Hi.
I know how to add a sound but some sounds cant i add in the sound file.
Is it wrong with XCC Sound Editor or the file?

probably the file, you need to convert them to the corerct sound format... extract and look at an existing file to find out what they should be, and use sound recorder to convert them.

they should be converted to wav PCM and the IMA PCM or whatever its called to reduced it size.

You also override existing eva sounds as well by using an evamd.mix

I change it to wav without a program and it dont work..
Are there a special wav file or program i need?

yes, please don't tell me you just rename it to .wav ....

go to xcc website, its got a win amp plug in

also if you have any old cnc games like red alert 1 or tiberium sun, you can convert the AUD's from them.

Actually, you don't need the Winamp plugin. Windows' audio recorder saves the deezired format just fine.

yes, the bog standard windows sndrec does it just fine. aslong as its not MP3...

basicly, you'll need to convert it to PCM 44100 16 bit, then use sndrec to convert it to IMA PCM 8bit, i think its 22050, mono.
