Default [Audio/Visual] sound probs

i have a problem changing the sounds of things such as SellSound and CreditTicks, i'm trying to use the TS ones, all the sounds entries are correct and they are in the game, i think it might b something to do with me using it in my game mode?

MPTibsun.ini:

[AudioVisual]
SellSound=cashturn
CreditTicks=credup1,creddwn1
BuildingDieSound=crmble2
BuildingSlam=place2
GateUp=gatedwn1
GateDown=gateup1

These are the ones i've put in so far and NONE of these are working :cry:

ne1 got ne ideas?

you have entered my domain muh-ha-ha *sinester mad scientist laugh*

are the sound in the correct wave format (did you convert them from *.aud to *.wav)?

did you enter them in the sound(md).ini?

where did you put the sound files?
(did you put them in the audio.bag, using the XCC Sound Editor that is built into XCC Mixer, or did you put them into the game using the XCC mod launcher?)

Those are the methods that I am aware of.

Edit: Did you use the same upper and/or lower case with the names?

Remember the ini's are CASE Sensitive

Number one, do valid entries exist in your sound file?
Number two, have they been added to your audio.bag file?
Number three, are you sure you type your entries correctly?

are you using TS sound ini format or RA2's?? because some sounds ini format are different from TS in RA2..

1. yes they r in audio.bag
2. yes they are entered in soundmd.ini
3. yes they are entered correctly

yes i converted them to WAV, and yes i put all my added sounds all in lowercase so i know what to do.

anyway, all my other added sounds work like the subdril1 (dig) sound from ts, i use that in normal game modes too, its just the sounds that i change in my MPTibsun.ini.... they just dont play, they dont even play what are in my rules...

ok they may be the wrong type of wave format.

I ran into this before. "IMA ADPCM" or "PCM" sub-format and then there are the hz level and the number of bits and whether it's mono or stereo.

I know that 22050 hz, 16 bit, mono works in RA2/YR.

There may be another problem that I'm not aware of...I hope this helped

no actually it doesn't if u read it, i have many added sounds and i did the same method each time (wot u sed) but they dont work from my MPxxxx.ini

I've never messed with the MPxxxxxx.ini files.
