I admire you all for the good works everybody do here, so I guess if someone can say me where can i find tutorials for people who has never modded before. I search for them and I find nothing! And, well, if somebody of you can help me out in becoming a good modder. I hope you can help me out!

If you've played all mods for YR, then you should have noticed that many of the sites that host those mods either also host tutorials, or their parent networks host tutorials.

Deezire Online holds the tutorials of Deezire himself, and the forums here will teach you many things about RA2 Yr modding. You can also use www.google.com for tutorials search. It is worth checking out the site of Project Perfect Mod, Dcoder's RedUtils, Mod Enc Wiki, Kravvitz RA2FAQ Site, Yr Argentina, and it's also good to browse older forum posts here for much of your modding questions.

Or, you could just start from the places you got the mods from.

Beware shameless plugs in topics such as this.

He says he cannot find any tutorials. How difficult can it be to search for "Red Alert 2 modding tutorial" in Google? :S

Not a good start to modding Hubb - are you sure you've played EVERY mod out there (there are more than meets the eye) and have read these forums for "a long time"? We can help you but first you need to get the basics nailed. In fact, you first need to get the pre-basics nailed... if that makes sense

It is somewhat difficult for me to start modding in the conditions i am right now. I dont have internet in my house and i must be going to a internet server everytime i want to use it.
And i think i have played all the mods for Yuris Revenge. The thing is that i have dowloaded them from places like Filefront and those things, not from their homepages, because of the same reason.
And i have searched in google with the same string you put there Whiteboy, but it only appears pages with advanced tutorials. I want to find some tutorials for total noobs like me.

First of all, if you are a n00b (observe proper spelling), then there is no hope for you. n00bs will never read, refuse to learn, and want everything handed to them so they do not need to work. If you are truly a n00b, we will reflexively hate you and try to kill you.

Newbies are something else again. They might get laughed at but they are not despised. Everyone starts out as a newbie.

Reading maps in a text editor are the easiest way to learn modding. Many maps have slight mods in them. Figure out why they do, and apply what you learn to copies of those maps to make your own mods, and see what happens.

It so happens that in this topic at DGNF I posted the mod code, along with comments, from a map I made recently. Perhaps it will help you understand the structure.

Gah - filefront - if you get mods from there you will gain nothing. Many of them are out of date, contain the wrong author/website reference...

I highly recommend getting mods from their official source. That way you can learn a bit about them - it's much more beneficial than sitting there downloading vaious zip files from the same site.

Not to sound pushy, but you really must have internet access, like the vast, vast majority of people do nowadays.
