Default Limiting Vehicle Movement

I want to know of anything that would delay a unit's arrival within a cell. Tweaking it's acceleration promtly comes to mind, but is there anything else that would do the job? Preferrably something that gives the illusion that the vehicle actually HAS stopped, but is actually still stopping?

And why you want to know that for? For learning or for something else?

Does it matter why?

I want this thing to take off like a shot from a standstill, but then SLOWLY come to a stop. If I do use AccelerationFactor= and Deacceleration factor, what sorts of values should I use to accomplish that?

Of course, the question I originally asked, was if there was any other method besides the acceleration-type dealies. What I really want to achive, is creating a large delay in the vehicle's initial attack. I'm willing to try Deacceleration= because the vehicle can't fire when moving anyway.
