Aircraft - true or false questions
I'm playing around with some goofy spawned aircraft idea, and my researches have led me to some apparent conclusions. Can anyone confirm or deny the following:
1) AircraftTypes must use voxel art, and not SHP-based art. True or false?
2) AircraftTypes can never be destroyed in mid-air; they always crash; Crashable=no is ignored. True or false?
3) Crashing aircraft always use the same smokey trailer anim (which anim is it, anyway??). True or false?
4) AircraftTypes are always set to Explodes=yes, which means they will always fire their DeathWeapon= upon impact. True or false?
5) The 'crashing' weapons of crashing AircraftTypes (like [HornetCollision] and [OspreyCollision]) are nonsense, and are not needed. Even without these 'weapons', the crashing aircraft crashes in the same way and does the same damage as if the Primary= weapon was set as the aircraft's DeathWeapon=. True or false?

1. True, ever since TibSun.
5. Not sure, I was trying to create a buildable plane with a missilespawn locomotor, and it used the DeathWeapon when killed, but not on ground impact. No matter what, the impact always was the DefaultDeathWeapon. But then again, this is a missile loco I'm talking about.

i'm not 100%, but i think 2 and 4 are true.
also, aircraft can only cloak while landed. same thing goes for hover units.
and if the spawner unit cloaks while its aircraft are attacking, once the attack mission is complete, they comit suicide.

As far as I have tested aircrafts never cloak  Only with veteran and elite abilities.
Ad5) I think that deathweapon is needed, because I have once made a drone based on Hornet and removed DeathWeapon. When it was shot down, it didn't reach land and caused IE. When I have added HornetCollision (correct me if I made mistake in spelling) the IE no longer appeared however it's primary weapon was MagneticBeam so I am not 100% sure about that.

cant they be cloaked easily by adding the neccessary ini editing?

Ok I guess I assumed they could be because they are similar to any ground unit when they are docked...
