Which still means more trouble for noob rippers.
Besides, the LeechKiller doesn't do anything magic, it just creates a mix which is 100% compliant with Olaf's .mix description (XCC's mixes are NOT 100% compliant). It's technically Olaf's fault for not following the format descriptions correctly.

Right, meaning f*ckups who can't mod anyway won't try to pass off a collection of stolen stuff as their own work because they are most likely too lame to get around this. And if they can't pass off stolen stuff as their own work, then they'll never have to thrash around like *ssholes trying to cover for it when they get caught, and they'll never bring down everyone around them in the process.

Face it, if this had been around 3 years ago, this community would be in much better shape today. I've been around for a while, and I endorse it, because I know that if I had this 3 years ago I would have avoided a lot of grief.

I don't need to name them, knowing is enough and besides it pointless dragging other people into an discussion which is simply about making it more difficult for people to mod.

The community was never big in the 1st place, and these arguements about it all going to shit is just people whining over the past.

Welcome to the present people.

If you don't want to use it, don't. If you do, do. No use in arguing which option is better. Arguing that it is "immoral" or wrong to use the leecher isn't going to go anywhere. (Yes, I know immoral is the wrong word to use, but deal with it.) You decide what you would like to do (use it or not) and do it.

Then why do you keep saying -

Quote:
People which have been around since the beginning of CNC don't endorse it

"Protecting" is frown upon by a lot of the veterans in the modding community.
I could just say, "Hundreds of veteran modders wholeheartedly endorse the Leechkiller, and recommend it highly. But I don't want to actually name any of them." Wouldn't that be silly.

Speak for yourself, and do not presume to speak for anyone else.

Noobs can always use free graphics and code anyway, the com would still be in bad shape because there will always be stupid people. Though my personal opinion is that at the end of the day it's not a bunch of voxels or a few lines of code but the whole package, appearence and concept of the mod that ensures its replayability and its recognition within the community.a noob doesn't have the quality to achieve that status

EDIT: Make no mistake,i don't blame people who wanna protect their work, its perfectly reasonable considering the current situation of the community and lack of tact between modders
