And that's exactly what i said as well AlliedG...

And my definition of the current situation is:For every decent mod out there there are at least 10 n00b mods trying to replicate it and at least 20 people ripping stuff and passing them as their own(ok the actual numbers may differ), 3/4 of the released mods out there should have remained private

personally i just find the whole ripping, flaming thing pointless as we are all ripping from westwood and EA technically.

The eastern community is an lot better at sharing and share alight.

Finally an mood's noobish is how the creator acts towards other modders, especially the veterans and how they describe there work.

Project Alpha is a big offender because the other over emphasises simple things like JDAM and also created a whole host of ai bugs.

You know damned well what I am referring to, and the flame war you describe was caused by the ones who got caught ripping, to try to cover it up.

Which could have all been avoided had I been able to use LeechKiller back then. Which is my point... as you well know. This is why I think everyone who makes a mod public should use LeechKiller. It helps keep the thieving n00bs at bay.

LeechKiller = free.
Shutting down the thieving n00bs = priceless.

also just look at project alpha which proves your status wrong.
What "status" is that?

I think the LeechKiller should be used depending on the opinions of each modder. I could use it actually, I have a lot of personal artwork in my mod. About ProjectAlpha, I think it isn't any n00bish just for the cause of using freeware material (If that was what you was refering).
But lets think about it, I think I should use the LeechKiller for keeping rippers out of the line, but sometimes I got to the conclusion that there aren't people so bastards to cut and paste artwork from other mods and call it their own. And if so, that could lend they many problems, so its better for those types of persons to simply ask permission.

No, it wasn't. Look around that site, it's like "N00bism '05: Platinum Edition".

ahh for f*ck sake Cannis no one cares about that apart from noobish c-gen members and if you were a little more open on your forums in terms of guest viewing maybe the community would be richer as a whole yet u continue to blacklist and shame age old events.

People that have ripped in past have left and people that flamed you have apologised, like myself in public so holding up all this past resentment is pointless in a game which is rapidly advancing in terms of options for modders.

Also there various different rippers from Yotta who ripped hadyn age old voxels to TUR who attempted to pass off Styx work as his own but to be honest that is age old affair.

Hey i used your free assets and i fully credit you for your hard work, its what the decent modders will do. Anyone else can just bugger off to be honest.

ProjectAlpha isn't noobish for free assets. Its noobish cos of poor executution of coding and extremely crap angelfire like presentation, i mean soviet snow flakes ....

Aside from you, no one else has ever apologized. Not for the ripping, nor for the attacks that followed. And I still get talked about to this day as if I'm the one that made offense. And you know all this too, so why do you pretend otherwise?

If the mod had been protected all along, none of it would have ever happened. That's all I'm saying. Therefore, I still urge anyone making a mod public to use the Leechkiller.

If caring about being ripped makes me a n00b, then I guess I'm a n00b
