Default Cloak Detection in Yuri's Revenge.

Hi all.

I was under the impression that the ability for buildings to detect cloak in Yuri's Revenge was removed (at least when I use the flag that worked in Red Alert 2 it doesn't seem to do anything).

Apparently however, Yuri's Psychic Radar can detect enemy cloaked units in DeeZire.

How do I get buildings to detect cloaked enemy units in my Yuri's Revenge mod?

Unless DZ has done something I'm not aware of, you can't make buildings detect cloaked units in the way that they reveal them, but the sensor array logic will show a radar alert if a unit detects one within the radius of the sensor buiding.

May b it needs sensor=yes and sensorrange= ....

If a typhoon sub is near the naval yard, the naval yard will detect it, so im pretty sure that buildings can detect cloaked (e.g. "submerged") units.

Since when can the naval yard detect cloaked/submerged stuff? Mine can't!

Hmmm... I checked the naval yards and theres no setting for detecting cloaked units.

The reason i said that was because I remember Eagle once saying that in his mod the naval yards "somehow" lost the sensor ability, and so he added sensor subs.

Anyway, if you want a building to detect cloaked units, use

SensorArray=yes ; This is for buildings. Units use Sensors=yes
SensorsSight= ; whatever radius

SensorArray=yes does not allow buildings to detect cloaked units in Yuri's Revenge (at least not in 1.001)
Does it invoke a radar event?

What I don't understand is why WW bothered to remove the ability when they didn't mess about with the cloaked units at all.

Also, I don't think naval yards could ever detect cloak though it would be a good idea for short range.

its a pain in the a"" that Westwood did not exploit and enhance much of the TS engine.

why they didn't release RA2 with 3 sides so that we can create a TC or MOD or TC+MOD?

or is it because of the storyline that Yuri wa able to escape and Romanov was left behind to deal with the Allies. and Yuri was able to create his own army..
