GoldEagle has made some smaller Mods in the past, but nothing in depth as what he is tackling now...
Even his early mods were balanced for the most part.
I for one am for an airforce for each side, that by no means will sterlize the gameplay.
I think this Final Conflict mod will be pretty cool in the end, unfourtunatly that day is far from here.

If you can truly get AircraftTypes to have dogfights, you are better than legions of modders who have tried before you. In other words, give up trying, it cannot be done without exe hacking. Also, for the record, Westwood had nothing to do with Generals.

WW was dead by then and the remaing people retired, sacked or merged into that other studio.
Also mobile repair depot, omg its a repair ifv all over again.
Generic spysat is completly against the ideology of the soviets and yuri.
Allies have superior intelligence gathering capabilites so they get a structure to represent this dominance.

I'm setting this mod after YR's story. Both Yuri and the Soviet's are supposed to have upgraded thier technology. To be honest, I don't see why everyone's getting upset over an airforce and spysats. Lets look at the Soviets, hm? They are a nationally backed army, thus they have access to full military weapons= Army, Airforce, Navy, Spec Ops., etc. A blimp and copter do not make an airforce. As for the spysats, why should the Soviets, who launch nukes practically for fun, not be able to launch a spysat into orbit? Is this just supposed to be beyond their ablities? That would be quite intresting. It would be like the commander of the Soviets saying "I want a spysat like the Allies." and his engineers saying "Sorry sir, we can launch nukes all over the world, but we can't send a rocket straight up." I know everyone is worried that the teams will be too similar, but I'm also attempting to use logic here as well. I can't simply accept that the Allies, as battered as their nations are at the time of my mod, are the only ones who can launch a rocket into space, its just not logical. Same with the airforces, the Allies simply can't be the only ones who can build jets. Each side is going to have radically different aircraft, so stop worrying! Each faction will be very different in the field. Remember that a base does the same basic functions for each side, it just looks different. I respect everyones comments and opinions, but the spysats and the airforces in particular are going to stay. Feel free to comment on the planes or units you want in the airforces, just don't complain about the force itself. As for my previous mods, none were ever released because each time, some blasted thing happened to my comp and forced me to have to reformat it, thus deleting the mod(s). Many were actually variances of this one, just never finished before the reformat got them or I decided that was enough it that direction.

Hmm, fair enough Goldeagle. Many will disagree, but I think it's best left up to the modder to make his own mod, don't you think? :P Good luck.

I am not into exe hacking. PD is the man, and aerial dogfights are on the wishlist. The next enhancment we need, is to set Pd's front page to the wishlist.
