Creating XCC file, and play online with mods?

A guy told me that i can play online with mods if i play one "Boot up mode" and i have to a xcc file, so i asked how do create these things, then he sayd, find out self, so i searched and did not find anythimh, so how do i find that boot up mode and how do i create a xcc file?

i think that XCC file was XWIS, which is now the default....

aslong as everyone you are playing with has the exact same version of the same mod, you should be able to play online with them.

The XCC "file" was called XWIS before. It was an alternative to WOL that you could DL from the XCC site and use for online games. It has since been switched from WOL to XWIS.
XWIS is what you are using now to play online games.

If you need help creating a .mix file with XCC then that's a different story...

cuse then i search at XWIS on google, it does not come any download links, westwoods site just have some pictures and other stuff.

By the way i figure out how to create a xcc file, but whenit come to play online with mods, does i only have to have same MIX files in RA2 folder?

No no no no no. You're getting confuse bewteen XWIS, XCC Mixer, Mixes, and.. everything really.

XWIS is a CONNECTION TOOL used to connect to the XWIS/WOL server. It is here: http://strike-team.net/nuke/html/mod...download&cid=1

You said you searched Google and didn't find it. It's the second result when I searched for it. How you couldn't find that I'll never know...

COMPLETELY SEPERATE now... is the XCC Utilities. These are for extracting game files for editing (MOD MAKING). There is a tool in the XCC Utilities called XCC Mod Creator/Launcher. You can use that to make .exe files for a mod, which means you don't have to mess around with placing .mix files inside the RA2 folder whenever you want to play a mod.

Now, are you trying to play a mod online that you made? Or is it someone else's mod?

ok, XCC mod creator works fine to create xcc files.

If you made your mod with XCC Mod Creator (and created an .exe file with it), then it's easy, just use that .exe file to play the game. Playing online is very simple: just play the mod, but MAKE SURE you both have the same vesion of the mod.

Are you having problems connecting to the server for online play?
