Definitely go for the Spetsnaz guy. The Soviets need a counter part for the SEAL - its Crazy Ivan at the moment I think....
Yes yes yes I know that all the sides don't have to be equal at everything, but at the moment the Allies and Yuri have 2 hero type infantry (tanya and SEAL, Yuri and Yuri clone). The Soviets have Boris, but Ivan is not effective enuff to be a hero type in my opinion, so they need the Spetsnaz.

Will the Spetznaz kill infantry with one shot like Tanya? If it does, it will be too powerful. SEALs don't stand a chance against tanks.

The way a true howitzer works it doesnt need AP shells and wouldn't use AP shells, A howitzer fires at angles greater than 55 degrees Luanching the shells high into the air and bringing it down up to several miles away on top of the enemy with huge amounts of Kinetic and explosive force, So it should be powerful as hell, long ranged, slightly inaccurate (to simulate the wind moving the shell even though a trained artillery squad can compensate for all of that) and have a long reloading time
An 88mm Mortar round is infantry based artillery Its far to small a weapon for a tank to carry, your better off just making a weaker of your H.A.t. idea and if you ignore all this take one piece of advice and 88mm mortar round is much MUCH smaller than the standard howitzer artillery so the H.A.T. should be more powerful

To MORPHLING: PARANG MAKIKITA NAMAN NITO NI MS. P!!! THINK NAMAN, MAN!!! To Lpark: i wuznt that specific when i put the HAT details, but the 88mm ammo, it's the only length pf ammo i know (mayb 120mm, but i'm not sure) & as for its firing, i'm making it a bit inaccurate, but i'll try when everytym it fires, its recoil will make the HAT rock back coz (story again about the HAT 4 my MOD) the Soviets were hurrying up developing a substitute artileary for the V3 Rocket, for the V3 is too slow in firing, somewhat inaccurate at times, slow movement & weak armor. When Soviet Scientists stole the plans 4 the framework of the Artielary Tank of the Allies (remember Red Alert 1?), they immediately based it in the Rhino tank & came up w/ a Rhino Tank that has a longer, upright nozzle, quite fast (thanks 2 some light metallic material they used for the framework), accurate enough & very powerful. The only drawbacks were since it has a lighter body, the recoil of the cannon cannot be stabilized, so they get shots that weren't that accurate enough & the sacrifice of lighter body made the tank very weak 2 the German Tank Destroyer. Of course, its body can still sustain such hits from flak, but not much againts missiles, balistics from tanks & very weak againts Tank Destroyers. But still, the Soviets are still proud of their accomplishment for it is a very good defense unit & very cheap (it costs around $ 950, in the game).

well, for the Spetsnaz, it will have a special ROF. instead of the usual burst fire, he will fire 9 shots instead of 3, so infantries will not be dead in 3 shots but 9 (which gives them some warning, i think).
