Annoying, invisible, units
I think this question should have come up quite a few times, but I can't seem to find an FAQ, so...
When I make a new unit (I copied it off CONS, and editted from there), and make a new cameo, the cameo appears, but when I get the guy (they spawn at the start of the game, oddly. I don't want them to), he is invisible. I also can't select him by dragging a box over. It's very frustrating trying to find the bastard. How do I fix this?

:lol: Nice page..Never knew about the art.ini guide, I might find that handy, even if half of the tags are commented at the top.
There's a tag which specifies whether they spawn or not(can't remember off the top of my head, but it's in the DeeZire ini guides.) Also, if you made a new art/artmd entry and there's no corrosponding shp with the entry name, it won't find anything. If thats the case, copy the conscript shp, and rename it..

Ok. I've now searched google, searched this forum, read XGamer's art.ini guide, and looked through the code. I can't find anything that even describes the problem. :S I think I'm searching for the wrong terms.

The answer is obvious, the problem isn't actually one. Go get familiar with your code.

Although you should read up, i still think rene is being abit of an arse by not even giving a hint..
Try looking into the Image= tag for the artmd.ini

The Cameo appears (very pretty), but the unit itself doesn't (currently using the Conscript animation as a proxy).
Also, how do I change it so it's not a starting unit?

Thanks. But I still would like to know why it doesn't seem to be appearing. I was told (elsewhere, and I think the art.ini tut tells me to) to set Image=CONS (or whatever I want to be there on the screen). It does not appear to work. :S
