The prism tank is the artillery of the allied, so if you nerf that, don't forget the v3 either.

Not fully nerf it, but trying to curb the ablility to "skip" a prism shot way across the screen. That and a permanent emplacement of the same tech, that is also powered by the base power, vs. a mobile version, the tower should win. Don't worry though, game code may have foiled my initial plot, but I do have other plans. I'm thinking deployable artillary or maybe a railgun unit. Tho I'd hate to repeat the mammoth mk2 from tib sun. Or maybe a multimissle (not to be mistaken with the nuke hack) launcher to more directly answer the v3. I finally got to do a multiplayer test on the mod, so far so good. Though it didn't include my latest AI tweaks. And, Infinatehellmasker, good point. Hadn't cracked into that yet. You probably just saved me alot of time, and headache, after I'd have beaten my head against the wall 100x. I want to edit the graphic slightly anyhow.

Ok, I installed Dune 2000 so I could check out the graphics. 1, it appears the "voxels" are just bitmap files, which is curious. But on the other side of the coin, there doesn't seem to any there that would fit. They seem more, cartoonish. I knew they'd be different, styled for dune, but they don't match at all. Guessl I'll stick to the C&C family to steal graphics from.

if you want dune units to use in YR, you are better off looking at converting E:BFD files than D2k...

Yeah, Dune 2k was fun to play in it day, but to summerise my prev. post in 3 words Dune 2000 Sucks. At least as far as unit graphics. I dunna have E:BFD, maybe I should get it. Is is any good? How about for stealing graphics? Better than dune 2k? I'll probably stick with the C&C and RA family, because they seem closest. A Dune unit would seem very out of place.

lets just say E:BFD interface is FAR better than Generals. the game itself thought, i can't remember, its been a while since i used it.

i hate the fact that generals requires the use of a numpad, especially since i havn't got a numpad.

you'd have thought they'd have taken laptops into account...

although you can't make prism tanks use the support fire like prism towers, you can make them deploy, and I think if you play around with the prism logic, you can make them deploy into structures which can use prismsupport, I haven't tried it myself so i cant be certain

I've thought of that, but since I haven't started working with the deploy functions, I'm not sure how they work, yet. Also, I took several days off to work out a possible new job = more money. Also, I'm waiting for a copy of old C&C, since I realise that I never owned it, just borrowed a CD from my friend whenever I needed it. Actually, I'll probably just borrow the latest expansion since I beleive it'll have both the add-on units and the original units, like my aftermath CD appears to have both the Aftermath units AND the classic RA units. That way I have the most complete resources to draw from.
