Hey everyone. I haven't been here for a long long time, but I just figured I'd give my input from an observer's standpoint.
Firstly, DCoders skills at modding or coding does not directly affect how ignorant he is.
Secondly, DCoder may be an awesome coder, but someone new to the community may not have read through the hundreds of posts to find out that he is good- although with a wee bit of common sense, you could easily tell.
Third, everybody in a position of power (or someone who has more skill at something than the average person) is stuck-up and ignorant to a certain degree. The post I'm making right now is ignorant in a way, as it comes from my view point, not the person reading this post's view point.
Some may say this post is a waste of time, some may say I'm right, some may say I'm wrong. Some may not even see where I'm coming from and think I'm completely off track.
On another point, tibed works for some people, and others it doesn't. For the hardcore old-school modder like Renegade or DCoder, notepad is the way to go. I prefer notepad aswell, and tibed indeed does have screwed up code.
Now my post is getting cut short, I have to go. But everybody here can expect to see more of me in the very near future... I'm coming back :P
And there are MANY tutorials showing basics....
