his problem is that experienced modders do not recomend n00b programs like tibed. tibed is just terrible.
ok, if you use it to flick between the editor and the code to see what happens, thats fine, but the way tib-ed works, just doesn't allow for a great mod to be created.
i agree it can be a learning tool, if used correctly, but most people who use it become lazy and never stop, and then complain when it doesn't do what they expected it to.
note: i learned to mod by using tib-ed for about a week, then playing with XCC mixer and looking over the original rules file.
and please do not confuse the word "n00b" with "Newb", those are 2 totally different words, with 2 totally different meanings. n00b was originally a dirivative from newb in 1337 hacker language, but since then has evolved.
Quote:
newb = newbie = someone new
noob = n00b = annoying(to say it in 1 word).
|
noob = A very annoying idiot, someone who deliberatly goes out of their way to irritate other, someone stupid, someone who has the idea that a nuke launching cow costing $1 is a good idea for a mod unit, asshole, an insult... just to name a few definitions of the word
newb = newbie, someone new, someone willing to learn, someone who asks senible questions when they are stuck only after searching and not finding the answer... again, only a few examples.
Also, you do know that with PDs patch(something definitly not compatable with tibed) allows a fully functional 4th side, and extra countries to be added to the game.
