Default What determines ElectricBolt colors?

Does anyone know what determines the color of ElectricBolt weapons?
And, what determines their AlternateColor? I've looked through artmd and rulesmd, but no luck.
Any help would be great.

They're hardcoded.

nope they're not!

just the white *seems* to be hardcoded, but the blue/yellow colors are taken from palette.pal.

blue is color #10 (0x0A) (could be 9 as well, I can't recall).
yellow is color #5 (0x05)
(those numbers are zero-based).

however, you probably don't want to edit palette.pal, it will make the whole game look messed...

OK, so the colors are taken from the .pal file. So where does the game refer to this file to determine the colors for the ElectricBolts? Is it in an INI file perhaps? And, can I tell the code to use a different color?

you can by changing the colors in the palette.pal, which is dumb though.
no INI control here.
