Default Wish me welcome again - and some questions of course

Well, as topic sais, hello again people. It`s been some ...years since I last was here but now I`m back

The reason why I`m back is because I recently re-installed RA2 YR, and started to play it again, in skirmish mode of course :P
I have downloaded a lot of mods recently and started editing again. My goal in editing is to make a good AI and thats .. basically all :P I do not have any itensions of making a mod, but just personal stuff, like making a very very hard computer that makes a fun match. And when I mean hard I don`t include superweapons, damn I hate those but anyway - a computer that sometimes can beat me

Well, lets come to the point, the questions -

I know a lot of people hate the idea of letting the AI build more war factories, barracks etc, because of the bug that let them build several units at the same time. But I want to bring this uppon new light. I mean, the computer is ..computer, its suposed to do things the human player cannot do, and it`s suposed to be very good, maybe better than the human player sometimes..
So what I going to ask about is - I have tried to let the computer build more warf, and barracks etc, but it just don`t do it :/ I have tried to increas the number of maximum Warfactories the computer can build, aswell as the Warfactories base-ratio (or what it is called), but whatever I do the damned computer don`t build that extra warf and barracks! I even thinked about adding an extra war factory building just to get the damned AI to build one more of it, but that just messes up things, I dont need 2 war factories that got the same abilities / techs etc ^^
So I would be very pleased if someone got a solution for this.

But it`s not ending there, I got more questions :P

I also see that the problem for making a good computer is the money. It simply don`t have enough money / income to make a good, long lasting fight.. Is there any place you could do something like giving the computer (etc 99999999999999) money?
Again theres probally people that hates that idea - why should the computer cheat? - well, again - it`s the computer, it should cheat, trick and beeing a pain in the ass for the player!

And the last question:

Are there any AI-editor out there, that makes adding and changing Ai-attacks easier that the old way of doing a lot of work in the AImd file?

Any help and answeres would be good, thank you

I aswell are pretty familiar to InI editing, so in asnwering you don`t need to be afraight of refering to a INI file or something

EDIT 1 : I remember something from some years back in time, of people telling something about the AI generals. In some place of a INI file you can find 5 lines, of computer generals, that the computer will chose from, and behave after it. I do not remember right, but was it that if you searced in TS INI file, you would also find 5 lines in the AI file, that tells about the computer general / behavior - and puted the TS general (named locomote something) into the YR AI INI file - would make it stronger?

I know that was sucky wroten, but my english is like allways - crap :]

EDIT 2 : I have searched around, in topic and on the net - but are there any AI-editor out there? That making AI editing easier / faster?
Thanks again, and hope someone can help me out

firstly, the general post
"so you want to know the basics huh?
you should start by downloading the ini editing guide
http://www.deezire.net/modules.php?n...op=getit&lid=4

and incase you didn't notice, this place is dead, if you want meaningfull healp, with fast replies, you should try Renegade Projects, Revora, or Project Prefect Mod."

now to answer some direct questions.
making the AI build more than 1 factory can only be done using clones. to make it not messed up for the player, you want factories that only the AI can build.
to give them more money, there's a tag, something like AIVirtualPurifiers=, this holds 3 values in order of dificulty, and is a multiplier of what money they get from an ore load. try something like AIVirtualPurifiers=8,4,2.
and an AI editor, DCoder wrote 1, try looking at renegadeprojects.

Ok, thanks for the reply
Yea, as you mentioned the AIVirtualPurifier determinate (wrong spelled?) mostly the income of the AI, x10 and you get a bad-ass computer.

Also thanks for the building help, I managed to clone the war factories and barracks, and by using deezires AI with this it`s a real bitch to take down now
This is just personal stuff, so don`t worry for any release or anything, but I would say that deezires AI, with 3 War factoreis, 2 barracks and x100 your money is a really great enemy
