Default Crate Editing?

Is there any way to disable certain crates and water crates from a certain map in the ini?
when I change something here
Money=20,MONEY,yes,2000

either nothing seems to happen, or when you get a crate there is an internal error.
The adding of the unused crates works, but when you edit the other ones there are problems.

Hey,

From what i can remember you change the 20 to a 0 and that should disable it (that's going back a loooong way for my memory though)

That also won't stop the single player, but it should work for multiplayer.

Have a go and see what happens. If it doesn't work i'll install and have a play.

Thanks dude, but that doesn't seem to disable them. I know that's what should do it, but they just keep showing up, even in multiplayer.

You could try searching in other forums for the answer. I am not an expert on modding Red Alert 2. Sorry!

Money is the fallback powerup for whenever another powerup fails to work (when a unit has already received a stat-boosting powerup, it will not be able to receive it again and it will revert to Money, for example). You can't disable that, but you could change it to give 0 credits and create some different effect via the attached animation. As BL said, ask at other forums for faster responses.

Default Why is my name there? I don't deserve the recognition.

What I am saying isn't relevant, but I noticed that my internet name (I am trying to use the name BlueGalactic, since BL2k6 is outdated) is in the following wiki-based page: Boss Generals on ModEnc, the Command & Conquer Modding Encyclopedia. It appears in the line: "This page has been accessed 1,024 times. This page was last modified 01:26, 16 December 2006 by Renegade. Based on work by user(s) DCoder and BlueLightning2K6 and Anonymous user(s)."

BTW: the web address for the site was moved to Command & Conquer™ Boss Generals, as I stated previously in a post I deleted. Click on command conquer generals mods and at bossgenerals.com, and it takes you to a completely different site, showing a guy holding a cell phone.

I am honored to see a reference to me in there, but what did I do to contribute to the encyclopedic entry?

The history for the article you mention says you or someone using your nickname created the first two versions of it. Boss Generals on ModEnc, the Command & Conquer Modding Encyclopedia , notice the timestamp.

Thanks for pointing out the dead link though, I fixed it.

Smile I am a bad poster, guilty as charged, but I am giving myself a second chance.

Edit, as of 5/16/08 (PST): You're welcome. I am hopefully making up for all the damage I caused to this website by being helpful to everyone else. I am not fully mature, so I still need to keep control of my emotions. As I wrote to you in a private message, I am a self-proclaimed "knucklehead." But I am also about second chances.

I do recall writing the article. I think it was originally for Wikipedia.org when I used the name "LightningPower" (I don't know if it was Wiki or a variation of it). They might have made the connection that the same person was registered as BL2K6 (I am somewhat not creative in choosing internet names). I am using BlueGalactic now, as you probably know from my registering at Renegade Projects.

Anyways, the BossGenerals.com link was removed from the article, so I put in the new, up-to-date link (I have no idea who moved the page): Command & Conquer™ Boss Generals. I found this link when I Googled in "boss generals mod." It was the tenth link.

ModEnc is looking very good right now. Great job!

BTW, while I was cleaning up the yard, I had to throw away cans and bottles that my neighbors threw into my front yard (the jerks!). That reminded me of a discussion I believe you posted earlier, concerning common sense (I have been learning well from common sense since then. Sorry I deleted that.). Some people do such stupid things like litter and park their cars in other people's driveways (even backwards!) I wish more people had common sense like you and I have.

Sorry for all of this rambling.

Whatever you wrote for wikipedia.org has no connection to the article that's on ModEnc, since there is no overseeing "they" who would make some sort of a connection or move your article or whatever else.
And I have no private messages from you anywhere.
